What we are looking for
The Lead Solutions Engineer at PackageX will be a key member of our sales team, responsible for configuring complex demo environments, leading pre-sales and post-sales scoping and requirements gathering, and serving as a bridge between our product team and customers. This role will involve working closely with Fortune 1000 enterprises and delivering high-impact product demonstrations to multiple stakeholders with support from an Enterprise Account Executive. As a client-facing expert, you will play a crucial role in shaping the product roadmap based on customer feedback and requirements.
This role will report to our sales leader. Ideally, this individual will be based in NYC coming to our NY HQ on a hybrid schedule. However, we are open to fully remote individuals within the U.S. as well.

About the role

  • Configure and maintain complex demo environments to showcase the capabilities of our SaaS product
  • Customize product demonstrations to meet the unique needs and requirements of prospective clients
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to gather and understand client requirements for pre- and post-sales scoping
  • Assist in scoping and documenting pre-sales and post-sales solutions to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction
  • Develop a deep understanding of PackageX's product and become a subject matter expert
  • Translate technical product capabilities into business value for clients
  • Lead enterprise-level product demos for Fortune 1000 enterprises engaging directly with customers
  • Work closely with an Enterprise AE to tailor presentations to the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Provide exceptional customer support throughout the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback from customer interactions and help shape the product roadmap
  • Advocate for enhancements and features that align with customer needs
  • Share knowledge and best practices to ensure the team's continuous improvement

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer, with a track record of success in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Experience configuring and presenting complex product demos
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset
  • Experience working with Fortune 1000 enterprises is a plus
