23andMe is looking for a talented Program Manager to support our Privacy Program!

We’re seeking an individual with experience managing and implementing data protection frameworks in a highly cross-functional setting. This role involves extensive collaboration with various teams within the organization, playing a vital role in the operations of our Privacy Program. What You’ll Do

  • Scope, manage, and drive compliance projects to completion with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support organizational compliance with laws by monitoring regulatory trends and ensure industry-leading privacy practices
  • Work cross functionally to execute on strategic priorities, define objectives and milestones to support development of Privacy compliance strategy
  • Develop privacy policies and procedures that adhere to privacy by design principles
  • Communicate privacy topics and influence compliant solutions to executive audiences
  • Manage consumer and patient privacy requests and develop internal and external educational materials
  • Manage privacy audits and preparation for the same
  • Maintain data inventory and internal documentation
  • Educate employees on privacy principles and champion our privacy-focused company culture. Develop and maintain training resources and lead all-hands updates, new-hire training, and targeted group training.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years relevant experience as a Program Manager
  • Familiarity with security and privacy standards/frameworks preferred
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools. PMP certification a plus.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, multi-tasking, and process improvement capabilities. You're able to make sense out of complex systems with many moving parts, and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to interact and effectively communicate with individuals across business functions with technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Excellent cross-functional relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable team-player that thrives in a fast-paced, complex work environment
  • Ability to bring clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work from 23andMe's Sunnyvale, CA office three days per week
  • CIPP certification a plus

Pay Transparency
23andMe takes a market-based approach to pay, and amounts will vary depending on your geographic location. The salary range reflected here is for a candidate based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
