What You’ll Do
23andMe is looking for a Scientist II to join our Lung cancer research team. This Scientist will provide scientific input and strategic direction for 23andMe’s research initiatives involving the lung cancer cohort. They will be responsible for the scientific success of the lung cancer research program, including developing and executing a research plan to achieve the programmatic aim. They will be involved with soliciting input from key internal and external stakeholders, tracking project goals, and implementing an analysis plan. The role has a significant partner-facing component,which will require collaboration with an external study sponsor and their advisors.
What You’ll Bring
Be passionate about helping people living with lung cancer, their families and caregivers. You will be dedicated to incorporating the perspectives of individuals impacted by lung cancer into the research. Have a track record of collaboration with scientific thought leaders, and the ability to communicate with an external network of academic and industry collaborators, advisors, as well as advocates in the field. Posess the ability to effectively convey the program’s strategy, ideas, and results to scientists and nonscientists. Have the ability to implement the project goals and manage resources. Communicate to a wide range of internal and external audiences, while being able to effectively convey the program’s strategy, ideas, and results clearly to a wide range of internal and external audiences, both scientists and nonscientists.
Note: Ability to work from 23andMe's office in Sunnyvale, CA a minimum of 3 days per week
