Astronomer is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing various financial activities within our organization. The Finance Manager will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including monthly reporting, consolidation, investor reporting, metrics analysis, and business partnering with G&A leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial insights to senior management.
Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly reports for investors, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Develop and analyze key financial metrics to provide insights into the company's performance.
Serve as the primary finance business partner to G&A leadership, providing financial guidance and support.
Own the roll-up of G&A for forecasting, planning, and close analysis. Assist in driving the annual and long-range planning process, including monthly forecasting and quarter close.
Partner closely with leaders, Talent Acquisition and People, to develop and accurately forecast resource planning.
Drive improvements in process, automation, and governance to enhance the efficiency and scalability of budget management.
Develop strategic insights and deliver analysis on the return on investment (ROI) of investment decisions. Make recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software, and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proven experience (3-5 years) in financial management, preferably in a similar role.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA).
Experience in a high-growth startup or SaaS company.
Prior experience in a finance business partnering role.
Experience with Workday.
The estimated salary for this role ranges from $120,000 - $140,000 based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package. This range is merely an estimate; actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
