About this role:

We are looking for a hands-on Collections Manager to join our Finance Organization who is passionate about adding value to the team and bringing best practices to our order-to-cash cycle. In this role, you will own the day-to-day functions of the collection operations, have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization, and provide timely and accurate matrix reporting.

In addition, the candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing policies, procedures, internal controls, and continuous process improvements related to the Collections processes.

The Collections Manager should have a positive and proactive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be a strategic thinker and negotiator.

What you get to do:

  • Design, implement, and manage efficient and scalable customer payment collection procedures to minimize bad debt and mitigate risks. Establish policies that provide structure and standardization while incorporating a level of flexibility to meet the company's needs.

  • Manage daily transactions and functions of collections, including payment posting within our various platforms (not limited to Workday FDM, Stripe, and Marketplace platforms, etc.), dunning letter preparations and deliveries, and accounts receivable follow-up.

  • Monitor and evaluate risk on an ongoing basis, anticipating and mitigating potential risks and identifying red flags for key business partners.

  • Participate in month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, incoming cash forecast, AR write-off analysis, account reconciliations, and related fluctuation analysis.

  • Establish matrix and KPIs for periodic management reporting packages.

  • Assist with external audits and ad-hoc projects as needed.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field.

  • 5 to 7 years of collections experience, ideally with both public/private companies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication is a must.

  • Ability to multitask, strong critical thinking skills, and is self-motivated.

  • Experience with marketplace orders/invoices/collections is a huge plus.

  • Experience implementing new order-to-cash policies and procedures.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Workday FDM.

  • Experience in Salesforce, CPQ system, Stripe, Marketplace (AWS, Azure, GCP), or Avalara.

  • Experience with developing a credit program using credit monitoring tools to evaluate customers’ risks and creditworthiness.

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $110,000 - $140,000, along with an equity component. This range is merely an estimate, and the width of the range reflects willingness to consider candidates with broad prior seniority. Actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
