Quality Assurance Engineer

About your role
- Execute manual test cases against physical robot arm hardware and its controlling Windows application
- Write clear, repeatable test cases and test plans based on product specs and requirements
- Log, track, and manage bugs and test cycles through Jira
- Document test plans, results, and processes in Confluence
- Set up, calibrate, and run repeat test cycles on physical robot arm equipment
- Collaborate closely with developers and the QA Lead to clarify requirements and verify fixes
- Follow established test plans and QA processes with high consistency and reliability
- Flag edge cases, inconsistencies, or risk areas even when not explicitly instructed to look for them
Required:
- 2–4 years of QA/testing experience, primarily manual testing
- Experience testing Windows desktop applications
- Working knowledge of Jira (ticketing/bug tracking) and Confluence (documentation)
- Comfortable working with physical hardware/equipment, not just software interfaces
- Strong test case writing skills — clear, structured, repeatable
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable executing defined test plans with minimal ambiguity
- Comfortable working independently with minimal day-to-day oversight once given a test plan or objective
- Adapts quickly to shifting priorities, requirements, or test scope in a fast-paced environment
- Proactively raises questions or blockers rather than waiting for direction when things are unclear
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience testing robotics, industrial equipment, CNC machines, drones, or other hardware-in-the-loop systems
- Background in mechatronics, electronics, robotics or a related technical field
- Basic scripting/automation exposure (not required, but a plus)
- Experience in a fast-paced environment supporting a larger dev team
