Here are some ways you’ll make an impact

  • Manage and support processes related to onboarding, offboarding, benefit administration, and compliance, primarily focused on the United States and Canada region.
  • Oversee, review, and approve all payroll processing to ensure accurate processing of all internal personnel changes.
  • Efficiently manage all leave of absence requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations while maintaining clear communication with employees and relevant stakeholders
  • Support the administration and tracking of the People Operation programs.
  • Oversee annual reporting for the company, including ACA, EEO-C, OSHA 300, 5500’s as well as other year-end tasks.
  • Enhance our people first culture by resolving issues promptly and responding to employee questions and concerns related to payroll, benefits, compensation, leaves, contingent workforce program, and other established or new processes.
  • Develop and implement People Operations communications and initiatives for various levels of the organization.
  • Contribute to meaningful improvements to the overall company culture of the People team and the company.
  • Mentor other People Operations team members.

Are you our People Operations Manager?

  • 6+ years of progressive HR/ People Operations experience that includes developing and implementing people programs in a high-growth environment nationally and internationally.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and US employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and facilitation skills
  • Capable of managing, negotiating, and building effective relationships with vendors
  • Successful track record of establishing credibility and trust amongst a diverse workforce
  • Practical knowledge of local and government policies related to leaves, ADA, wage & hour and other payroll policies
  • Ability to manage multiple-projects with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality

Bonus Points

  • Relevant practical experience with HRIS tools such as ADP Workforce Now, Culture Amp, Sapling, VNDLY
  • Has experience with procure and payment tools such as Coupa
  • Has experience working with benefits broker such as Sequoia
  • Experience with using E-Verify

This role is eligible for hire in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, Toronto, Canada & Vancouver, Canada.

We are a virtual-first company and have employees dispersed throughout the United States and Canada. We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program and may be offered an equity award, benefits, and other types of compensation.

$114,000$154,000 CAD

In accordance with California law, the base salary for this role if filled within SF Bay Area, California is as follows.
