Course Hero is scaling! We are looking for an experienced Lead Lifecycle Marketing Manager focused on driving user engagement metrics and expanding our lifecycle marketing channels. You'll be joining our small, results-oriented team in our journey to build an outstanding customer experience through lifecycle channels like email, push notifications, and in-app messages. As a Lead Lifecycle Marketing Manager you’ll drive the strategy and execution of new lifecycle programs and be responsible for user engagement and feature adoption. Here are some ways you'll make an impact:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, creative teams, and engineers to develop and execute on strategies to drive user engagement and product adoption
  • Create scalable multi-channel marketing campaigns using html, css, liquid, responsive modular templates, and other tools
  • Establish foundational infrastructure for expansion into new marketing channels such as web push, content cards, or in-browser notifications
  • Implement complex, multivariate A/B tests, monitor and analyze performance, and make recommendations to drive further improvements
  • Partner with engineering and the broader growth marketing team to identify and implement new campaign features (e.g. automatic login links, recommendations) and data flows (e.g. API events, customer attribute library) to support lifecycle marketing initiatives
  • Create and optimize segmentation and content personalization strategies by leveraging user insights and business data.
  • Proactively identify gaps in process and infrastructure, propose solutions, and ultimately, improve production efficiency
  • Build and maintain process documentation, establish best practices, and enhance team effectiveness
  • Analyze results, determine benchmarks, and provide regular performance updates in order to assess business impact and make recommendations
  • Partner with the analytics team to build dashboards, plan and analyze experiments, and uncover new user insights for lifecycle marketing programs
  • Work closely with growth marketing leadership to define OKRs, contribute to annual and quarterly plans, and suggest and implement growth initiatives
  • Stay abreast of the latest marketing trends and tools, sharing any findings on where best-in-class marketing teams have found success

Are you our next Lead Lifecycle Marketing Manager?

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience including working with an enterprise-level CRM platform (Braze experience preferred)
  • Earned a BA/BS/BE degree or an MBA
  • Knowledge of the Martech landscape and an ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, including mobile-responsive templates and experience with a scripting language (Liquid, AMPScript, Free Marker, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data concepts (APIs, JSON, ETLs, etc.)
  • Experience with analytics tools like Tableau, Looker, or Amplitude and basic SQL skills
  • Depth of experience with email marketing and crafting user journeys
  • Highly communicative, resourceful, having strong time management and organizational skills, and an ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Self-starter who’s also comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Resilient multitasker who consistently meets deadlines and is comfortable with shifting timelines and priorities

  • Experience with Braze
  • Proficient with SQL
  • Experience with Javascript
  • Experience at small, high-growth start-ups and/or product-led companies

The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
