We’re seeking a highly skilled Director of low-level Engineering with expertise in Rust, C++, or C to join our core team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and mentor a team of exceptional Low-level engineers while working on challenging, impactful projects that are shaping the future of distributed data systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Director of Low-Level Engineering, you will:
- Design, implement, and optimize low-level software systems using Rust, C++, or C.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
- Participate in and influence critical architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in high-performance environments.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate low-level components into larger systems.
- Continuously evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems and processes.
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates with:
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade low-level systems.
- Expert proficiency in Rust, C++, or C, with a deep understanding of memory management, concurrency, and system architecture.
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking protocols.
- A proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
