Inspirit: The ultimate 3D and VR science toolkit
At Inspirit, we’re building the platform for people to teach and learn in 3D and VR. Think Kahoot in VR. Think Google Slides in 3D.
With Inspirit, you can bring the power of immersive & interactive learning to your science classrooms today, across all devices (web/laptop and VR headsets). Our founders started Inspirit while doing research in VR & education at Stanford University and Georgia Tech, and have since grown Inspirit into a community of 500K+ students and teachers in the last 6 months alone. We offer full coverage of biology, chemistry, and physics in 3D and VR, and are adding to our library every day.
We’ve crossed 500K+ users, raised over $7.5M to date, and continue to grow rapidly WoW. In the last 12 months, Inspirit has won the SXSW EDU Launch Competition, made it to the top 10 in the ASU GSV international GSV Cup, and been nominated to the Forbes Under 30 2022 List in Education (North America).

What Will You Do?
Create low-poly 3D characters and objects for use in mobile applications and use creative thinking to solve technical and design problems
Optimize models and textures to meet the specifications set by the Lead Artist
Integrate 3D assets into composites to create visually engaging art pieces
Rig and animate 3D characters and objects
Create textures for 3D assets using Photoshop or Substance Painter
Import 3D assets into Unity
Collaborate with Art Directors, Developers, and Producers to ensure all aspects of the project are of the highest quality
Contribute to overall office morale, spirit, character, and work quality
What Skills Do you Need to Succeed?
Experience with Maya/Max & Blender is essential; Unity and substance painter is additional.
An eye for color, contrast, value, detail, and good lighting principles when creating textures and materials.
Ability to create a visually appealing model with a low poly count and limited textures/materials.
Ability to rig and animate a character model to have natural motion.
Ability to create various 3D styles from realistic to cartoony to simplistic.
Experience with Git or other version control
Self-motivated and able to take ownership of an initiative or project with little supervision (i.e., can take a concept and “run with it”)
Strong conceptual abilities as well as an ability to execute.
Team player with good communication skills and works well with others (no egos, please!)
A love for the intersection of tech, entertainment, toys, games, and pop culture
