What will you do?

As a Professional Learning Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing professional development programs centered learning and utilizing VR in the classroom. This role involves creating training materials for VR headsets, integrating VR into educational curricula, and providing hands-on support to educators. The ideal candidate will have experience as an instructional designer, CTE, or STEM teacher for middle or high school students and knows how to use VR.
Develop and Implement Professional Learning Programs:
Design and develop professional learning programs focused on the use of VR technology in education.
Create training materials and resources for educators on how to use VR headsets and integrate VR into their curriculum.
Develop and manage asynchronous certificate programs that recognize educators’ proficiency in using VR technology.
Lead Professional Development Initiatives:
Facilitate professional development sessions on VR technology, including hands-on training with VR headsets and software.
Customize training content to address the specific needs and goals of different schools and educational institutions.
Provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure effective use of VR technology in educational settings.
Customer Engagement and Support:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored VR training solutions.
Advise educators on best practices for integrating VR into their teaching and addressing curriculum goals.
Troubleshoot technical issues with VR hardware and software, providing immediate solutions and support.
Travel and Onsite Training:
Travel to schools and educational institutions for onsite professional development sessions.
Adapt training approaches to fit diverse educational environments and ensure effective implementation of VR technology.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including product development and customer success, to align VR training initiatives with company objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-2 years experience in professional development, training, or customer success within the education technology sector.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a middle or high school teacher in a technical subject area.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver professional development programs, particularly in the use of VR in education.
Strong knowledge of STEM and CTE education, with experience in K-12, workforce development, and/or community college settings.
Proficiency with virtual reality technologies and a passion for innovative educational tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
