We are seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer with automotive manufacturing experience and fluency in the German language to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will optimize computer vision technologies in auto manufacturing and be deeply knowledgeable about Lean manufacturing and Kaizen practices. This position plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence across our customer facilities with a computer vision technology that could one day, revolutionize manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • System Deployments and Integration: Lead the solution and implementation design, integration, and optimization of our computer vision system in manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Champion and facilitate the application of lean methodologies with the computer vision platform, identifying opportunities for waste reduction, streamlining operations, and improving process flows.
  • Kaizen Initiatives: Facilitate and lead cross-functional Kaizen events, driving continuous improvement efforts that have a measurable impact to customer operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, IT, and Engineering to ensure that vision systems are tailored to specific manufacturing needs and are fully integrated with other systems.
  • Training & Development: Conduct training and direct support for customers to independently apply our computer vision technology to drive operational improvements.
  • German Language Communication: Serve as a liaison and translator with our German partners, suppliers, or stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication and collaboration.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish, monitor and drive measured improvements to key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer deployments.
  • Research & Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in industrial engineering, recommending new features, capabilities and improvements to our computer vision platform.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain thorough documentation for all processes, systems, project progress and operational improvements in both English and German.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role at an automotive manufacturer
  • Fluency in the German language, both written and spoken.
  • Solid understanding and experience with Lean manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Comfortable learning new software tools and rolling sleeves up to make them work.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time
Our compensation package plays a big part in how we value your impact on our mission. Our base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The estimated base salary guideline range for this role is $100,00 to $200,000 and may be modified. This will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. In addition to base salary, your compensation package will include additional components such as equity, and benefits.
