Director of Business Development, Philippines
We are seeking a highly capable and well-connected Director of Business Development based in Philippines to lead our market expansion efforts. This role will focus on identifying and nurturing opportunities for Krisp’s AI products, targeting BPOs, enterprises, and other key sectors. As our on-the-ground representative, you’ll leverage local networks to build strategic relationships, raise product awareness, and open doors for Sales to engage and close deals. This is a remote-friendly position with flexibility for travel within Philippines, reporting directly to our executive leadership team, and working in close partnership with the broader GTM organization to ensure a seamless handoff and collaborative success. A strong understanding of the local business landscape is essential.
What you'll do
- Market Expansion and Opportunity Creation: Identify and develop new opportunities with BPOs, Contact Centers, enterprises, government entities, and educational institutions. Create targeted strategies to promote Krisp’s AI products as tools for enhancing communication efficiency and cultural adaptability. Partner closely with Sales to ensure timely handoff of qualified opportunities and provide support during the sales cycle when needed.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, procurement teams, and industry influencers. Represent Krisp at local events, conferences, and networking sessions to expand visibility in the Philippines market while ensuring alignment with Sales-led engagement.
- Product Awareness and Enablement: Deliver in-person or virtual demos tailored to local needs to build interest and validate fit. Partner with Sales and Customer Success for negotiation, deal closing, training, and implementation, ensuring local context and relationships are leveraged effectively.
- Market Intelligence: Provide actionable insights on local trends, competitive landscape, and cultural sensitivities related to accent and communication technologies. Share structured feedback and work in lockstep with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to ensure consistent messaging, pipeline visibility, and a “one team” approach to customer engagement in Philippines.
What we are looking for
- Experience: 15+ years in business development, partnerships, or early-stage sales roles, ideally in tech, SaaS, or BPO sectors. Demonstrated success in creating and advancing B2B partnerships and opportunities in Philippines.
- Networks: Strong connections within the Philippines business ecosystem, especially BPOs and enterprise networks. Ability to leverage relationships for immediate impact.
- Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (knowledge of Philippines regional languages a plus). Tech-savvy with an understanding of AI tools for voice and communication.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Location and Availability: Based in Philippines. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Comfortable working across time zones with a global team.
- Personal Attributes: Self-starter with high initiative, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for innovative tech solutions. Strong collaborator with the ability to align efforts with Sales and navigate sensitivities around accent technologies diplomatically.
