Senior Vice President of Marketing

About the Role

At Modulate, we're building industry-leading Voice AI technology and believe we have a unique opportunity to define the future of conversational voice experiences. Our models are differentiated, performant, and cost-effective, but technology alone doesn't create a category leader. Awareness, positioning, and market perception do.

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Vice President of Marketing to help establish Modulate as the premier Voice AI brand for developers and enterprises. This is a highly strategic leadership role for someone who can see the big picture, translate company strategy into marketing execution, and build a marketing function that scales with the business.

As the SVP of Marketing, you'll partner closely with our executive team to shape how the market understands Modulate, our products, and the future of Voice AI. You'll report directly to the CEO and lead our existing marketing team while elevating our overall marketing strategy and execution.

Why This Role Matters

As the company evolves and learns, priorities shift quickly, and we need a senior leader who can connect those changes back to a cohesive marketing strategy.

We're looking for someone who can take company-level objectives, identify the highest-leverage opportunities, and ensure the organization is focused on the right bets over the next 3, 6, and 12 months.

We believe the opportunity in front of us is unprecedented, and that the first step to unlocking it is true market understanding of Modulate as a leader in voice AI.

What You'll Do

  • Translate company objectives into clear marketing priorities and initiatives.

  • Identify, prioritize, and evaluate the highest-impact marketing investments.

  • Establish clear metrics and accountability around marketing performance.

Brand & Category Creation

  • Position Modulate as a category-defining leader in Voice AI.

  • Build awareness among developers, enterprises, and industry decision-makers.

  • Develop compelling messaging that differentiates Modulate in a rapidly evolving market.

  • Increase visibility and recognition of the Modulate brand across key audiences.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the existing marketing organization.

  • Directly manage senior marketing leaders and help scale the team over time.

  • Create alignment between strategic goals and day-to-day execution.

  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.

Executive Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the executive team.

  • Participate in company strategy discussions and translate business priorities into marketing plans.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations leaders.

  • Bring a strong point of view while remaining adaptable as the business evolves.

Thought Leadership & External Presence

  • Represent Modulate externally through speaking engagements, industry events, media opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives.

  • Help establish Modulate executives and potentially yourself as recognized voices within the Voice AI ecosystem.

  • Build relationships with key industry stakeholders and communities.

Ideal Background

  • AI, developer tools, infrastructure, cloud, enterprise software, or emerging technology experience.

  • Experience creating awareness for category-defining products.

  • Established industry presence, including speaking engagements, media appearances, or thought leadership.

  • Deep understanding of modern B2B marketing and go-to-market strategy.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the CEO.

  • Leads and develops the marketing organization, including existing marketing leadership.

  • Works closely with Product, Engineering, and the broader executive team.
