About the Firm

A specialized CPA firm serving HOAs, condominium associations, co-ops, and other community associations nationwide.

As the business grows, this position will play a key role in bringing together financial reporting, accounting processes, and systems across multiple entities.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a hands-on finance and accounting leader to oversee accurate books, a reliable month-end close, and financial reporting across a growing group of businesses.

This individual will help establish a strong accounting foundation for a growing, private-equity-backed professional services organization, working closely with leadership to improve financial visibility, integrate acquisitions, and implement scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and GAAP financial reporting.
  • Manage multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting, ensuring accurate and consistent records.
  • Integrate acquired businesses into standardized accounting processes, including opening balances, receivables transitions, chart-of-accounts alignment, and cash-to-accrual conversion.
  • Collaborate with the firm's ASC 606 advisor on revenue recognition and related accounting policies.
  • Support general ledger and accounting system improvements, including Ramp, Rippling, or comparable platforms.
  • Strengthen internal controls, documentation, reporting, and connections between operational data and financial systems.
  • Partner with senior leadership, Strategic Finance, and Business Operations to deliver reliable financial information and explain results.

Required Qualifications

  • Active CPA with strong GAAP knowledge.
  • Demonstrated hands-on ownership of financial close and reporting.

Preferred Experience

  • Multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting.
  • Ramp, Rippling, or similar expense management and payroll platforms.
  • Professional services organizations with private equity sponsorship.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Cash-to-accrual conversions, ASC 606, acquisition integration, and ERP selection or implementation.

Additional Advantages

  • Alternative Practice Structure experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-native accounting platforms.

Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone comfortable working hands-on while improving processes and supporting organizational growth.

The firm is flexible regarding previous employer background, exact years of experience, and job titles, provided the candidate has demonstrated ownership of relevant accounting responsibilities.

Candidates are not expected to have personally led every initiative listed above.
