Job Summary:

The Change & Configuration Management Lead at Phenom is a strategic, dual-purpose role responsible for overseeing both the Change Management and Configuration Management processes. The Lead will ensure that both the Change and Configuration processes are consistently followed and aligned to industry best practices. They will promote compliance to these processes, lead process improvements, and act as a liaison to development, operations and key business stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Change Management Process Oversight & Improvement:

· Develop, implement, and manage an industry best-practices Change Management process.

· Ensure compliance with the Change Management process for all production Changes.

· Continually evaluate and refine processes to improve efficiency and address organizational needs.

· Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure smooth, coordinated deployments that meet quality standards and reduce risks to the production environment.

Coordination of Agile & DevOps-Driven Changes:

· Coordinate application changes delivered by Agile teams, ensuring alignment between development cycles and Change Management requirements.

· Maintain a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools to assess Change readiness and implementation risk.

· Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Change Management controls into automated deployment workflows.

· Ensure traceability of changes across code commits, build pipelines, and production deployments.

Configuration Management Oversight:

· Establish and maintain an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to track assets, configurations, and dependencies.

· Define and enforce policies, standards, and guidelines for configuration item (CI) tracking and updates.

· Oversee CI audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the CMDB.

· Change & Configuration Coordination:

· Assess, categorize, and prioritize change requests with an understanding of configuration dependencies and risks.

· Lead the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review changes, ensuring impact analysis includes CI dependencies.

· Collaborate with stakeholders on high-impact changes and coordinate communication for major deployments.

· Align change and configuration processes with release schedules to optimize outcomes and enhance customer satisfaction.

Quality Assurance, Reporting & Metrics:

· Ensure all change and configuration records are accurate, complete, and compliant with policies.

· Track and analyze key metrics for both Change and Configuration Management, providing insights to senior leadership.

· Work with the Change Management & Configuration Management Analyst to identify areas for process improvements.

Training & Enablement:

· Educate and train teams on Change Management and Configuration Management best practices.

· Provide guidance and mentorship to the Change Enablement & Configuration Management Analyst.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

· 5 - 7 years of experience in Change Management and Configuration Management.

· Strong knowledge of industry best practices Change and Configuration Management principles.

· Experience coordinating Agile team deliverables with Change Management processes.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, with ability to engage with development and operations teams.

· Proven experience with Jira Service Management or ServiceNow for Change Management and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) operations.

· Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
