Job Description:
We’re seeking a Domain QA Manager who brings a deep understanding of customer workflows, business use cases, and HR technology. This isn’t traditional QA — it’s quality reimagined from the outside-in. You’ll be accountable for validating our products not just for bugs, but for domain quality and business processes across the Phenom platform.
You will lead a team of domain-focused QA specialists and work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Support, Customer Success, and UX to drive end-to-end product validation that reflects real customer business needs.
What You’ll Do
Customer-Centric Quality Validation:
- Design and drive domain-specific test strategies focused on end-user personas, customer workflows, and business processes.
- Define and execute test scenarios that reflect real-world usage patterns across industries and functions.
- Champion the "Voice of the Customer" in product validation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams and UX to validate end to end business processes from customer’s perspective
- Align with - Professional Services (implementation), Customer Support and Customer Success teams to incorporate learnings from production use into QA strategy.
Domain QA Ownership:
- Own domain QA practice access the Phenom platform for all product areas. .
- Ensure testing reflects industry-specific nuances, compliance needs, and user behavior patterns.
- Develop domain knowledge & business use cases, convert them into quality strategy and test cases.
Quality Metrics & Reporting:
- Define and track quality KPIs tied to customer satisfaction, defect leakage, and production issues.
- Enable early detection of gaps through analytics, monitoring of release outcomes, and feedback loops from field users.
What You’ve Done:
- 8+ years in software QA, with at least 3 years in a domain-driven QA or Business Analyst role.
- Candidates with experience as Business Analysts turned into QA will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR technology workflows – e.g., recruiting, CRM, onboarding, talent marketing, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to think end-to-end – connecting test plans to real business outcomes.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset: comfortable using data to prioritize, decide, and improve quality.
