About the role
Reporting to our Head of Product, we’re looking for a Staff Platform Product Manager to build and evolve our infrastructure and services powering our product areas like Black Opal, Boulder Opal, and Fire Opal, along with our enterprise and admin features. You’ll be a part of our world leading product team working closely with our key stakeholders across: quantum research & engineering, technology, design and marketing, responsible for supporting our product led growth strategy by enabling world class infrastructure.
What you'll be doing:
Build for Scale: Leverage expertise in product technology stacks to inform and guide development teams to build platform features at scale. Protective and vigilant for the long view of API design, service-oriented architecture, interoperability, scalability, and reliability.
Own the Problem: Own the problem space, along with the opportunity and agency to solve challenges. You’re unafraid of the unknown and maintain a figure-it-out mindset.
Bring Teams Together: Drive product development, roadmaps, and go-to-market strategy with world-class engineers, designers, and marketers while upholding world-class development process and craft.
Outcomes over Output: Proactively iterate on features based on customer data, feedback, and technology and market trends, evolving the product and optimizing for customer impact and the potential of the development team.
Ideally you'll have:
7+ years product management or related industry experience.
Track record of designing and working with multi-stack teams to build and evolve software system architectures, components, and patterns (e.g. database models, API schemas, data flow across systems, system-to-system interactions).
Proficiency in cloud provider offerings and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Worked with cross-product teams to build 0-to-1 systems and mature system design, scalability, reliability, security, compliance, data governance, and separation of concerns over time.
Experience identifying significant opportunities, facilitating the full product development lifecycle, integrating customer feedback, driving prioritization, minimizing dependencies, and driving product vision, strategies, requirements, and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
Enthusiasm and resilience in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
Worked in a technical environment with broad, cross functional and time-zone separated teams, often with a lot of uncertainty, to align the team and execute towards key milestones.
Comfortable delivering technical presentations and presenting to customers and executives.
