About the role
On World Quantum Day, we announced the first demonstration of commercial quantum advantage with our field-validated quantum-assured navigation solution for industry and defense, Ironstone Opal. We have partnered with leading commercial and defense organisations, including Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and the defense departments of the U.S. Australia and the U.K.
Building on this momentum, we are now seeking a new Senior Account Executive to lead the growth and sales of our Ironstone Opal product.

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Business Development, you will:

  • Lead all Ironstone Opal - related revenue-growth strategies and execution
  • Create and implement processes to ensure smooth growth and execution of the sales pipeline, including managing existing industry-standard tools (e.g. Salesforce) and implementing new sales methods and tools as needed
  • Growing existing business and partnering with product managers to identify opportunities for business growth with current clients
  • Expanding on current work, and interfacing with existing partners to explore new opportunity areas by sustaining and building on the strong foundation of client relationships
  • Communicate our value to clients
  • Inform product development, be a liaison between current and prospective clients and the product & engineering organizations, able to translate their problem set into an actionable internal plan
  • Interpret and convey various client needs to the engineering teams, help to inform and manage priorities and execution, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure that performance stays aligned to key milestones
  • Other duties within the Employee's skills and experience, or with reasonable training

Ideally you'll have:

  • 8+ years of proven strategic sales experience within the Navigation space or related hardware technology space
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of US and international customers
  • Experience working/operating in the; Defense, Enterprise, Commercial and/or Research markets
  • The ability to understand and synthesize technical concepts enough to have conversations with highly technical customers and team members
  • Prior experience working in high-growth or deep-tech startups/scale ups
  • The ability to work autonomously as part of a small and growing team
  • Relentless optimism and persistence in driving forth commercial relationships
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in writing white papers, technical reports, and RFI/RFP responses
  • Experience with SFDC

It would be fantastic if you have these skills/experience but not essential:

  • Expertise in complex engineering systems
  • Advanced degree
  • Prior military or contracting experience, or experience in DoD or Government
  • Experience with government business development, government contract structures, and government proposal processes
Salary
The base salary for this position is targeted between $130K - $200K and will ultimately be determined by specific job-related skills, experience, level, location and other contributing factors. Depending on the position offered, this role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, equity and other forms of compensation outside of the targeted range.
