Regulus is an agile defense-tech startup tackling the most complex challenges in counter-drone and uncrewed defense. With hundreds of combat-proven systems deployed by the IDF and global partners, we are now engineering the next generation of C-UxS (Counter-Uncrewed Systems). We leverage advanced electronic warfare and kinetic measures to detect and neutralize hostile threats. If you want to push technological boundaries while safeguarding Israel and our allies, join us at this pivotal stage of our growth.
This is a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal growth stage and help shape its products, culture, and future.
The Field Testing Engineer is responsible for evaluating Regulus’s integrated counter-UAS systems in operationally realistic environments to ensure they meet customer needs, performance expectations, and mission requirements. This role focuses on system-level validation, field trials, and operational performance assessment, while providing support to formal Verification teams as needed. The engineer will also conduct adversarial and stress-based testing to identify system limitations and contribute to continuous product improvement.
Role Characteristics
- Customer-focused - Ensures that system behavior aligns with actual operational needs, not only technical specifications.
- Adversarial mindset Capable of identifying and exploiting potential weaknesses to drive product maturity.
- Field-oriented - Comfortable working in outdoor, dynamic, and occasionally unpredictable environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute system-level validation activities to confirm that solutions meet customer operational requirements across multiple product lines.
- Plan, conduct, and document field testing, including live trials with drones, RF systems, sensors, and full integrated platforms.
- Design and rigorously execute sophisticated adversarial (“red-team”) test scenarios focusing on exploiting system weaknesses across detection, tracking, and mitigation phases to validate operational resilience.
- Evaluate performance and operator workflows under realistic and degraded conditions.
- Analyze test data, logs, and telemetry to assess system behavior and identify deviations from expected performance.
- Support Verification teams during formal testing events by supplying field data, scenario design, and operational insights.
- Contribute to the development of validation methodologies, field evaluation frameworks, and continuous improvement processes.
- Represent the voice of the customer during validation activities, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and user expectations.
- Field Travel: The role requires an estimated 50% travel to outdoor field sites, primarily involving work in outdoor, dynamic environments for test campaigns.
