Your mission? 🚀

As a member of our Tech Team, you will be part of the team that will build the next generation of apps in Yalo. We use cutting-edge technologies in the industry both for backend and front-end development. We’re looking for people that will bring different solutions to the table and work with increasing standards. You will also be able to explore any career path you choose: contributor or manager

As a DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer, your mission is to create automation that lets our engineering team easily manage cloud resources themselves, making their lives simpler.

What are the responsibilities for this role?

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable and durable automation for managing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with our Staff and Senior engineers, ensuring your primary focus is on executing projects with high efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure Yalo remains at the cutting edge.
  • Share responsibility for maintaining the operational well-being of the company.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation (at least one per month)

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of general experience in the technology industry.
  • 2+ years of experience managing Cloud resources e.g GCP, AWS or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge about Cloud Native technologies e.g Kubernetes, Docker or IaC.
  • Strong knowledge about Computer Science fundamentals e.g Networking, Databases, Storage, etc.
  • Experience with Python, Go, JavaScript, or other widely used programming languages.
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
  • Proactiveness.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience managing GCP products.
  • Experience with Terraform or any other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool.
  • Experience with Go or Python.
  • Any of the well-known GCP certifications.
