During your tenure as Director of Learning, you will lead, manage, direct, integrate and monitor Zeni’s company-wide learning strategy, oversee design and implementation of learning practices, and provide guidance to business leaders across the company.
- Develop and deliver training sessions to acquaint new employees with the Zeni finance tech stack.
- Ensure all new team members gain practical experience using QuickBooks Online.
- Demonstrate the ability to prepare and review financial statements following US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the training industry.
- Ideally, have more than 2 years of direct experience working in a high-tech start-up environment, focusing on completing full-cycle monthly close and reporting.
You Will Also Be Responsible For The Following
- Implement and evaluate Zeni’s learning and development strategy, value proposition and plan, in alignment with the overall business needs, best practices, external drivers and global standards.
- Collaborate with the leaders to understand global learning strategies, recent developments, tools, and technologies to be launched and lead the preparation of Zeni talent programs for such changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and create tailored programs to address them.
- Ensure training content is up-to-date, accurate, and relevant to the evolving FinTech industry.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and regulatory changes within the FinTech sector
- Lead a team of training professionals, including trainers, instructional designers, and content developers. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to enhance their capabilities and drive performance.
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of learning initiatives and projects centrally to ensure a High Impact Learning Culture is embedded in Zeni’s practices.
- Review the Zeni learning structure and operating model ensuring clear responsibilities and service catalogues are developed and agreed upon.
- Lead the assessment, selection, and implementation of new learning technology to ensure exceptional learner’s experience.
- Implement learning impact and measurement tools and dashboard to drive continuous improvement of L&D strategies, initiatives, and programs.
- Design and implement a Learning Communication and Brand strategy.
- Work closely with other leads to ensure learning is embedded in the employee’s talent journey (i.e., performance management, succession management)
- Implement assessment methodologies to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Collect and analyse feedback to continuously enhance training quality and impact.
- Lead the L&D team and work closely with the Business Learning Teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience including learning and development experience, preferably in a FinTech companies. Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the training industry. Ideally, have more than 2 years of direct experience working in a high-tech start-up environment, focusing on completing full-cycle monthly close and reporting.
- CFA / CPA / CMA / CA, Bachelor's/ master’s degree in finance, or a related field.
- Experience in learning and development strategy, training needs analysis, adult learning methodologies, instructional design, curriculum management, corporate training, project management, leadership development and digital learning
- Strong consulting skills (structured thinking and deck writing)
- Strong project management skills and stakeholders’ management
- Strong strategic thinking abilities, excellent organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining finance software, including QuickBooks Online, Expensify, Bill.com, and Gusto.
- Proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
