Overview:

The Sr. Director, Inventory Management will work in Zeta’s Activation business unit, reporting to the SVP, Platform Partnerships & Integrations and will lead Zeta’s publisher and Deal ID strategy. This role will be responsible for evolving and scaling our publisher partnerships to support revenue growth, margin expansion and international development. This position will focus on building structured, forward-looking publisher strategies with proactive packaging, verticalization and long-term supply differentiation. This role is hybrid in our New York City, NY office.

Description:

  • Drive Zeta’s publisher-specific and Deal ID strategy: Develop and execute strategic publisher partnerships and deal structures
  • Develop international, market-specific supply offerings: Create country-level publisher and Deal strategies (UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, LATAM) including local relationships, compliant formats and operational readiness for the business
  • Build structured vertical supply ecosystems: Create publisher frameworks by vertical (Pharma/Healthcare, Political, B2B, CPG, etc.), including curated site/app lists, compliant formats, and pre-negotiated deal packages aligned to client demand
  • Proactively package and commercialize inventory: Bundle publisher supply into scalable, easy-to-sell solutions that Sales can repeatedly bring to market instead of recreating custom deals for every RFP
  • Lead publisher relationship development and deal procurement: Identify, negotiate, and secure direct publisher deal IDs, preferred access, negotiated rate and custom formats that create competitive advantage and margin opportunity
  • Evaluate and commercialize new inventory types: Test and scale high-impact units, rich media, native, emerging formats, and new publisher categories
  • Strategic partnership with Media Planning: Provide differentiated publisher recommendations, curated deal structures, and format availability that strengthen proposals and win rates
  • Ensure operational activation and performance feedback loop: Work with Ad Ops /CS to push deals into platform, monitor PMP/custom unit performance and refine publisher/ deal ID strategy based on yield and scale insights
  • Manage deals & commitments for publishers/deal IDs: Monitor pacing, direct publisher commitments and margin impact
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Supply Partnerships function: Offer prioritization, strategic guidance, and long-term roadmap planning to support business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 8–12 years of experience in the martech or advertising industry
  • Deep expertise in the supply ecosystem, including activating Deal IDs, negotiating pricing and evaluating inventory performance
  • Experience working with SSPs, DSPs and direct publisher partners
  • Demonstrated international inventory experience, including running campaigns or procuring supply in Canada and EMEA markets
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders; highly collaborative leadership style
  • Strategic thinker with strong executional discipline
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical mindset; SQL a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree required

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this role is $165,000 - $180,000, depending on location and experience.
