As part of our fast - growing pace, we are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! The Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and will be a valued business partner responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, including international accounting, tax and compliance filings, and accounting close activities. The ideal candidate will be a multi-tasker, have a strong knowledge of GAAP and current ASC’s, and be a problem solver.
Responsibilities
Assists the Controller and Senior Accounting Manager in the month end and year end close activities by preparing and posting journal entries including intercompany, accruals, payroll, reconciliation entries, and financial statement preparation.
Performs reviews, analysis, reconciliations, and evaluation of general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
Performs activities associated with international accounting including intercompany transactions, reconciling balances with subsidiary entities, coordinating with in country firms for annual filings, maintaining subsidiary ledgers, and international audits.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial management functions, control systems, policies, and processes and recommends improvements for financial accuracy and team efficiencies.
Works independently on responsibilities and special projects applying GAAP knowledge and technical accounting.
Plays a key role in interim and annual audits, working closely with the Controller and Senior Accounting Manager preparing year-end analysis, account reconciliations, adjusting entries for audit, and required audit schedules and support.
Support your colleagues in financial areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll wherever else your financial skills are needed ensuring financial accuracy and completeness.
Prepares ad hoc reporting and financial data as needed.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience, experience in a global companies preferred
Experience with General Ledger, month-end closing, reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial statements required
Strong technical accounting skill set
Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel skills, and ability to analyze raw information, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Motivated, positive attitude, and team-oriented
Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing environment
Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Salesforce
Revenue recognition experience not required, but a plus
SaaS software experience preferred
System implementation experience preferred
