We're a fast-growing pre-Series A stage startup in New York City with a distributed global team backed by Bullpen Capital, Pritzker Group, Sierra Ventures, Ludlow Ventures, MXV Capital, and NSV Wolf Capital.
About the role:
We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer with strong technical fluency, customer intuition, and cross-functional hustle. This is a senior IC role—ideal for someone who's worked closely with Sales, Product, and Implementation teams and knows how to navigate complexity without losing momentum. You’ll own the solutioning strategy for complex opportunities, design scalable integrations, and be a force multiplier across pre- and post-sales teams.
This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll wear many hats—from joining enterprise discovery calls to helping design future-proof integrations. If you're looking to move fast, stay close to the customer, and help build a best-in-class Solutions function, we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
· Sales Support for Complex Use Cases: Partner with AEs to solution and scope opportunities that require custom development or integration work. For standard deals, AEs own the process—your focus is on the exceptions and key enterprise logos that demand deep technical or architectural thinking.
· Solution Design & Documentation: Own the development of solution architectures, integration flows, and all supporting documentation. Ensure designs are technically feasible, aligned with our platform, and scalable for future customers.
· Product Liaison: Serve as a voice of the customer within Product. Communicate clear requirements, influence prioritization, and align on timelines—while protecting engineering resources and staying grounded in roadmap realities.
· Implementation Support & Continuity: Stay engaged during implementation to ensure continuity from sales to delivery. Support dev requests, clarify requirements, and bridge knowledge across teams to ensure the solution lands as promised.
· Internal Advocacy & AccountabilityAdvocate for Sales and the customer while also managing expectations internally. Hold teams accountable to commitments, help navigate tradeoffs, and ensure momentum even when priorities are in tension.
· Sales-to-CS HandoffEnsure a clean transition to Account Management once implementation is complete, including full transfer of technical context and documentation.
· Expansion Strategy SupportCollaborate with Account Managers on complex expansion opportunities—multi-location rollouts, custom workflows, or integration-heavy initiatives.
What You Bring:
· 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Implementation roles in B2B SaaS, ideally in logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
· Deep familiarity with enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, OMS, etc.) and how they interact across a modern tech stack.
· Technical fluency—you understand APIs, SDKs, data flows, and basic architectural concepts (you’re not writing code, but you can read a schema and talk to engineers confidently).
· Strong written communication skills, especially for producing technical documentation and integration guides.
· Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams.
· Track record of owning complex solution cycles end-to-end, ideally in a fast-moving or startup environment.
· Proven judgment and leadership presence—you’re a senior IC who is comfortable collaborating with executive stakeholders both internally and externally.
Nice to have:
· Experience with logistics automation, last-yard delivery, or high-volume B2B integrations.
· Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger, Lucidchart, or similar.
· Prior experience at a seed to Series B-stage startup.
Compensation:
In addition to other forms of compensation like perks, benefits, and stock options, the salary range for this role is between $120K-$140K base per year. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skillset, experience, and geographic location.
Other perks and benefits include:
· Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage
· 401(k) plan participation
· Monthly lifestyle allowance to help focus on your wellbeing
· Reimbursements for home office setup and meal delivery pass
· PTO including annual leaves, personal and sick days, and birthday off
What can you expect from the application process?
All applications will be looked at by the People team who will reach out to shortlisted candidates. Across various interview rounds you'll speak with the hiring manager, other functional heads, and with our CEO. We want to have an open discussion about your work and how we can be a great fit for each other. The process may also involve an assessment or presentation relevant to the role. You can expect an offer after three rounds of interviews. All offers are subject to satisfactory reference and background checks.
