About the role

The Sales Development Representative is an ambitious, organized professional who loves working with prospective customers and bringing in sales leads. SDRs play a critical role in the sales cycle and are often the first contact that a prospective customer has with Spectro Cloud.

Whether interacting on the phone, through email, or some other medium, SDRs make a positive impression of Spectro Cloud by being responsible for the first portion of a prospect's sales journey. We aim to create great customer experiences by guiding potential Spectro Cloud customers into this fairly new era: Kubernetes and to identify their needs and pain points in this field.

What you’ll do

Generate Meetings/Appointments by means of proactive outbound prospecting and lead activity management to qualify and market our solutions to potential customers.

  • Work directly with Account Executives to discover opportunities from leads, and set appointments from those leads.

  • Use of strong selling and influencing skills to set up qualified appointments.

  • Partner with our sales team to help generate meetings and sales pipeline

  • Profile accounts to help define appropriate expansion strategies

  • Reach out to new trials/users within customers to drive more revenue

  • Work with marketing on executing campaigns

  • Master the art of (MEDDICC) discovery, and inspire new use cases where Spectro Cloud can solve our customer’s challenges

  • Be a key component in ensuring we have accurate data in our CRM (SalesForce) to drive the strategy for our future growth

  • Use a variety of methods (Email (Outreach), Phone, social media) to engage prospects, users and decision makers

  • Achieve monthly quotas (setting meetings for the first half year, later on we will focus on qualified opportunities) + daily KPI’s of a minimum of 50 calls per day

  • Attend sales meetings, vendor training, and local trade shows to keep current with technology.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • 1+ years of experience in sales, preferably in SaaS, or, a commitment & a strong desire to pursue a career in sales

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • You have the ability to grow rapport and relationships with potential clients

  • You have a great attitude that can maneuver through ambiguity and the ability to work and collaborate with a growing team

  • You are a results-oriented individual who is excited by the prospect of fueling the continued growth and success of Spectro Cloud by growing our sales pipeline. You have a “can do” attitude and are relentless in pursuing goals and solving problems.

  • You have the ability to make formal and informal presentations to staff and clients.

  • You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • You are proactive and an independent thinker with a high energy/positive attitude and you understand the phrase: “better ask for forgiveness, than for permission”.

  • College Degree or equivalent experience
